Famine in Niger

The famine in Niger has recently got some media attention, but if you haven’t heard anything, here’s the deal. Severe drought and locust swarms have destroyed crops in Niger, and millions (stop and think about it) are going hungry. Today. 800,000 children under five are at risk for starvation. Eight hundred thousand infants, toddlers, and kids who would be in pre-school if they were born Americans.

Will you make a donation to World Vision or your favorite charity that is helping in the area? Put your political opinions aside – it doesn’t matter why the country can’t meet their people’s needs. Children are hungry.
